Knight has had high scores since winning the Slim Jim Battle Royal at SummerSlam. However, Knight’s growing popularity has angered one of WWE’s most dedicated Superstars, The Miz. Angered by Knight’s promotion,
The Awesome One faced the megastar on Raw after Knight took time off for Miz’s photo shoot.
Even as Miz declares his contempt for Knight, A-Lister continues to stare at the lights, following his opponent’s BFT.
Animosity over low shots and meddling in each other’s plays continued.On SmackDown, Knight had a chance to become the No. 1 contender for the US Championship, but his chance was missed when The A-Lister interfered, resulting in Knight losing to Austin Theory.
On the following Raw, The Miz thought he had an easy win over Akira Tozawa, but Knight played mind games with The A-Lister. While Knight was ringside, The Miz was knocked out of the game and lost to Tozawa via roll-up in a moment that stunned and humiliated The Awesome One.

“The Grayson Waller Effect” will appear on WWE Payback, while “The Aussie Icon” will host “The American” Nightmare Cody Rhodes on his hit talk show.
Rhodes will guest star Grayson Waller after engaging in many grueling battles with Brock Lesnar culminating in a SummerSlam triumph, but he’s still locked in a bitter rivalry with The Judgment Day. Meanwhile, since joining SmackDown,
Waller has quickly risen to fame by interacting with WWE Legends like John Cena, US Champion Rey Mysterio and even in a match against “The Rated-R Superstar” Edge at Madison Square Garden. The road to revenge for undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn has been turbulent due to the atrocity of Doomsday.
The two teams battled each other for months, with KO and Zayn successfully defending their titles against Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio on the July 17 episode of Raw. Things got even worse soon after, however, when Judgment Day brutally KO’d Owens for almost a month.
With Owens out of action, Zayn turned to other allies like “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes and world heavyweight champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins, trading wins and losses with the treacherous group. When KO returned on August 21 episode of Raw, the team gathered with one goal in mind: eradicate Judgment Day.
In WWE Payback, Owens and Zayn get their revenge by taking on Finn Bálor and Priest in a Steel City Street Fight.

Becky Lynch will have Trish Stratus to herself when The Man shows up to face the WWE Hall of Famer in a Steel Cage match at WWE Payback.
After his controversial loss to Trish Stratus on WWE Night of Champions, Lynch sets out to find a cure. After a series of fights and a victory over Zoey Stark, The Man finally got his long-awaited rematch with his bitter opponent on Raw. Despite protege Trish Status being banned from the ring during the competition, the curious Superstar continued to engage in a vicious sneak attack on Big Time Becks.
Due to the constant interference, WWE Official Adam Pearce decided that Lynch would face Trish Status in the unrelenting Steel Cage, where all matters would ultimately be settled one-on-one.

At WWE Payback, Raquel Rodriguez will be out not only to dethrone Rhea Ripley as Women’s World Champion, but also out for revenge.
“The Nightmare” Rhea Ripley took the Women’s Division by storm on Raw, crippling every opponent in her way. Former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez joined the members of The Judgment Day, but both spent time on set due to injuries.
After Ripley horrifically defeated Morgan a few weeks ago, Rodriguez had to wait before returning to the nightmare. After several stealthy attacks on the champion, Rodriguez was finally acquitted on the August 21 episode of Raw, where she announced that she would face Ripley at WWE Payback.
Ripley and Rodriguez both fought hard in NXT, claiming two trade wins. Rodriguez managed to outlast Ripley in a brutal Last Woman Standing Match at NXT New Year’s Evil 2021.
Since then, the two have become rivals, and Ripley has become a nearly unstoppable force.
