The Man comes to NXT to capture the one title that has eluded her: the NXT Women’s Championship.
Current champion Tiffany Stratton evoked Lynch’s name in a promo a few weeks ago, and the words didn’t sit right with the Raw Superstar.
After a backstage interaction at WWE Payback, Lynch felt the need to throw down the challenge to the blonde bombshell after Stratton’s successful defense against Kiana James.
The NXT Global Heritage Invitational continues as Tyler Bate and Axiom prepare to square off inside the ring.
Both Superstars are looking to climb up the leaderboard in Group A as they each hope to punch their ticket to NXT No Mercy to challenge Noam Dar for the NXT Heritage Cup.
Jersey’s Nathan Frazer battles Japan’s Akira Tozawa in a near must-win matchup for both Superstars in the NXT Global Heritage Invitational.
Frazer and Tozawa came up short in their last matches against Joe Coffey and Duke Hudson, respectively, and they’re both in needs of points in order to advance in the tournament.
The No. 1 Contender to the NXT Championship will be decided in a match between Ilja Dragunov and Wes Lee.
The champion Carmelo Hayes broke the news to his two rivals that they’ll battle to see who’ll earn a championship opportunity at NXT No Mercy, and he’s confident regardless of who’ll win.
Since losing the NXT North American Championship to “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio, Lee has grown increasingly volatile and uncharacteristically lashed out on several occasions.
Dragunov, meanwhile, took Hayes to the limit at the Great American Bash and is determined to get another opportunity.
